I looked down at my hands Friday and noticed that they were incredibly dry. Not only that, but there were actual small cuts along the top of my hands. It looked like I had a fight with a cat, and the cat kicked my booty. I didn’t remember playing with scrapbooking paper to account for the mass paper cuts.
Thinking about it, I realized that the cuts and dryness are a fun side affect of taking care of baby. The constant washing my hands after diaper changes or washing the bottles about five times a day. Turns out the soap and water were not only cleansing but also drying out my skin.
The cuts were slightly painful and when I spoke to my parents about it, they recommended Palmers. Of course I listened to my parents (yes only took 36 years), and by Sunday night, my hands were soft and the cuts were healing. It’s actually quite amazing how quickly Palmers helped.
I picked up some gloves as well for when I wash the bottles.
This is one of the non-glamourous parts of Motherhood, but Palmers helped so quickly I had to write and let everyone know. Now if I could find an easier way to clean bottles all day…
