One of the things I learned while pregnant is that when you dress nice, people notice. They treat you differently. My growing belly gave me the excuse to spend money on fashion for me. While it was all on sale, looking back, I spent about $200 a month on clothing. People at work noticed and commented making me feel great.
Previously, I was wearing clothing that I had for years. Some of it probably pretty frumpy. This is because I kept putting off shopping thinking I will wait until I lose weight. I’d lose a few pounds here and there but never made my goal weight to go shopping.
I still have that goal weight. Because of my swelling/joint pain, I haven’t been able to start working out. Currently I’m about 6 pounds above my pre-pregnancy weight. I’m hoping I can start with walking soon and burn calories while I’m with pumpkin.
But this time I’m not waiting to be stylish.
Welcome my latest addiction- RueLaLa. It’s an online sales site that features new sales every day (sales last a few days until items are sold out). I’ve started toying with some other sale sites, but RueLaLa is unique in that they have AMAZING prices on designer items. This allows me to get some great pieces for really cheap. Last week, I bought two Calvin Klein shirts for $19 each. These shirts are so cute and I can dress them up or down. I also bought two dresses from Tommy Bahama for the summer and last night I bought the Tahari dress below.
RueLaLa not only features amazing designer deals, but they also have a 30 day shipping feature. When you make a purchase, you get free shipping on all other purchases made within 30 days. It’s a great feature that saves you alot of money with each order (because each day new items are featured).
Another addicting feature of RueLaLa is on their iPhone app. You can see what other people are buying right now. I love it! Also, their iPhone app works great! I use it when I’m pumping or trying to relax when pumpkin starts to fall asleep.
Yes, it may be difficult to dress my post partum body, but that is no reason to not try. I want to look fashionable/put together at work and events. I want to feel sexy at any size and RueLaLa sales are helping me do that. Of course when I reach my goal weight, I’m going to celebrate by getting a major designer outfit on RueLaLa. Something smoking hot.
Here is an invite code if you would like to try RueLaLa. If you do, let me know what you get! I’m loving adding some designer pieces to my wardrobe little by little.
This is not a sponsored post. I bought all the items (and probably more) mentioned above. I just love the company.
