I just received an email with details on the brand new Ergobaby Wrap. You all know how much I love and advocate for babywearing and I love that companies are challenging themselves to come up with better products for parents!
The Ergobaby Wrap will launch in February. It looks like a great option for holding newborns close. The fabric is made from a 4D Stretch material that flexes in four directions. They have made it “ultra-breathable, unbelievably soft”. Both of which are incredibly important in helping your little one get comfortable in the carrier.
The wrap carries from 6.6 – 31lbs and can be worn on front, hip and back carry positions. It folds into it’s own pocket which makes storing on the go easier.
The price is $79.99 and is offered in three colors – pepper, clay and eucalyptus.
Here are a couple of videos on how to wrap with the Ergobaby Wrap:
After watching the videos, it does seem that it may fall into the same issues as the Moby wrap. The Back Carry Wrap method is interesting because you do most of the wrap first. Although many moms that do back carries do it without another adult which Ergobaby does not recommend. I know when someone tries to assist me with my carriers it usually ends up making things more difficult than if I just did it myself.
Great to see more options. What are your thoughts on Ergobaby wrap?
