Last week I saw yet another doctor to go over yet another round of tests to find out what was wrong with me. We took Xrays and many vials of blood back in December. Due to timing, I only got the results last week and unfortunately they don’t provide any new direction.
My tests came back negative for Rheumatoid arthritis again. This blood test was supposed to be a different one that looks for a different marker than the last six tests I’ve had. All have been negative. But just like the other doctors, she insists that I do have Rheumatoid arthritis.
The real issue is I have a high level of inflammation around my joints. Typically this points to arthritis, but the rest of my tests are negative for that. Yet, the only answer was to put me on medicine. Medicine that makes me unable to breastfeed, heck it makes me unable to have more children. The words said were, if you and your husband are thinking of having more children you should do it now because you need to be on this medicine.
On a positive note, I actually have been feeling better. My joints are stiff for less time than usual and I’m able to carry pumpkin much easier than before. We have a blast together in Gymboree class because I can actually move her around!
I take it day by day and see how it goes. Hopefully with better diet (I’ve reduced my carbs) and more exercise, I can keep the inflammation down and feel better all the time!
