I love to find events for us to attend on the weekends. When they announced the El Capitan Frozen Sing-a-long, I knew we had to take Pumpkin. She loves Frozen! We read the books like 8 times a day. She gets to see the movie about once every week or so. We listen to the soundtrack during bathtime. We’re definitely a Frozen household.
Getting down to Hollywood is not always fun, but parking at the Hollywood and Highland center and walking across the street to El Capitan made it simple. Thankfully we made it early enough to see the wonderful organ player. I don’t know his name but he’s fantastic.
Before the movie started, Elsa came out and made it snow! Below is some video from the performance. Didn’t get a great look at pumpkin, but she was laughing and pointing to the snow the entire time. I can’t wait to take her to Disneyland during the holidays!
Great thing about a sing-a-long is everyone is encouraged to belt it out! While pumpkin doesn’t know the words, she screams with laughter at the first note! The mom next to us giggled because pumpkin got so excited to see Frozen. She claps and hums along with most of the songs.
If you ever see a show at El Capitan, make sure you go to the bathrooms below. We took pumpkin to change her diaper but found a great display setup for pictures! We had an amazing time as a family and I can’t wait to take her to another film at the El Capitan.
Tip: Get your tickets early! They had a breakfast with Elsa that was sold out before I could get tickets and I called 15 minutes after the phone lines opened!
Here’s the video I captured of Elsa making it snow:
