It’s the holidays which means we are in full craft project mode. I have SO many projects I want to do, but not enough time to do them. I will probably do a craft a week and showcase the best ones here. Because we all know some crafts are not successful. Or maybe I’m not just a Pinterest quality gal.
This week we are discussing Halloween with Pumpkin. She’s 2.5 and is starting to realize what Halloween is. She loves pointing out pumpkins, witches, spiders and ghosts. I thought it would scare her, but so far she LOVES it! So to own the shapes and embrace her fearless self, I thought to make flashlight covers where she can project the Halloween image on the wall. We can use it as a guessing game and then take this idea, and replace it with symbols of all the upcoming holidays relatively easy.
First thing was a stop at Target. A place I visit at least twice a week because they have everything I need. Turns out our flashlight was out of batteries. I found the battery stand right in the front of Target by the first cash registers.
I decided to purchase the new Energizer® EcoAdvanced™ AA battery pack. This is a brand new product that is created from recycled batteries! After my recent ShiftCon trip, I am all about taking small steps to make a difference! Energizer® EcoAdvanced™ is the world’s first AA battery made with 4% recycled batteries and is Energizer’s longest-lasting battery. Try it! Power your most critical devices AND have less impact on the planet! I’m so happy that Energizer® is the first company to bring recycled batteries to the market. The batteries are available in AA and AAA.
I picked up the batteries and 20 other things I probably didn’t need as is the Target way and went home to start on my craft. I am using the Silhouette Cameo to cut out the circles and the inner shapes (Witch, Ghost and Pumpkin). You can trace these shapes and cut them out on your own without the Silhouette Cameo.
Then you can take Washi tape to attach the slide onto the Flashlight. Target has great Halloween Washi tape in their Halloween section btw.
Being that it’s the holiday crafting season what are some crafts that you can incorporate Energizer® EcoAdvanced™ batteries in?
