Last week was my husband’s last week off. When he’s working he can get insanely busy and that leaves very little “family” time. When it got warm last week, I decided it was a great time for a family outing. I noticed that Knott’s Berry Farm has a special on tickets right now with a portion of the tickets going to the Susan G. Komen OC organization. By purchasing online you can save $32!
The weather was perfect for out outing. We took a picture at the Knott’s Berry Farm Breast Cancer picture stand and made our way to Camp Snoopy. I tell all my mom friends this, but Pumpkin is the PERFECT age for Camp Snoopy. There was only one ride she couldn’t go on yet. Camp Snoopy is perfect for toddlers. There’s a great variety of rides and Pumpkin even ran into Snoopy (we didn’t see the other characters but there is a show in Camp Snoopy that runs pretty often).
Pumpkin’s favorite ride is the Pig Pen’s Mud Buggies. She LOVES this ride so much. During her wait in line, she made a friend and they insisted on riding together. At this point they were BFF’s. It was adorable watching the two together. They continued to go on rides together, walk together and stuff into one stroller so they can sit together. The little girl’s mom was very nice and part of a group of Moms that have Season Passes to Knott’s Berry Farm. I love the idea that families with kids around the same age meet up at Knott’s to socialize together.
We continued on the rest of the rides in Camp Snoopy. The Balloon Race is a personal favorite of mine, but this was the first time we went on a rollercoaster! Pumpkin met the height requirement for Timberline Twister and so we went on it…twice. She could have gone on more, but mom got stuck trying to get out of the front seat and decided we needed to try another ride. I honestly could not get out without Matt’s help. It was really the only time my arthritis impacted me.
We had such an amazing time at Knott’s Berry Farm. We made new friends and created new memories. I’m not sure if they always do this but as the park closes, Snoopy walks through Camp Snoopy saying good night to everyone. He then stands at the exit of the park for pictures and hugs. A simple, but great touch for wrapping up a magical day.
The only negative is we were going to buy Season Passes (you can use your day pass toward the Season Pass) but the office was closed. There didn’t seem to be any guest services open when the park closes, so I guess you have to do that earlier in the day if you decide on purchasing a pass.
My friend at Let’sPlayOC is hosting an amazing giveaway for two tickets to Knott’s Berry Farm that are good for the remainder of the year. So head over there to enter and hope to see you at Knott’s Berry Farm!
