September is Child Safety month which has a large emphasis on Car Seat safety. According to SafeKids.orgSeventy-three percent of car seats are not used or installed correctly. Which is horrifying when you think spend the money on a product that is meant to protect them, but it can only do so if we learn the proper way to both install and use them.
But you learning about child safety doesn’t have to be boring! This Saturday, September 24th is the 5th Annual Red CARpet Safety Event sponsored by Favored.by. It’s a fun filled day that helps spread awareness about Car Seat Safety, Activity Safety, On-the-go Safety, Home Safety, Body Care Safety, Nursing Safety, and Changing Accessories Safety. This year will even have a special focus on cyber safety.
Many companies such as Step2, Diono, Orbitbaby, Nuna, UPPAbaby, Babyganics, Ju-Ju-Be, Munchkin and Lansinoh will have representatives there. Which is a great way to look at products and ASK QUESTIONS! Yes, the retailers are always helpful, but if you can get the information straight from the company? That’s the best!
There will also be lectures and demonstrations as well as fun things for the kids like face painting (Pumpkin’s favorite thing in the whole world), arts and crafts, mini up & down roller coasters, playhouse fun, tricycle obstacle course and carnival games!
Tickets are still available and start from as low as $15 for a family ticket.
We went to this event last year and the year before and we love it. This year should be fun for Pumpkin because she’s a full fledged toddler that can run around and do more herself. While I’ll be looking at what new products are around for baby #2. It’s amazing how much can change in 4 years in terms of products. We bought a Nuna Pipa for our Infant Seat in my car, but Nuna just came out with a new Convertible car seat that I want to look at for Hubby’s car. I also have the new Be Sporty bag from Ju-Ju-Be and while I plan on doing a full video and review, I do have some questions for Ju-Ju-Be about the bag.
Let me know if you will be there so we can meet up!
