My friend Ginger at Ramble Ramble, has posted a blog hop link thingy, where various amazing women are posting about their typical day. In reading the current list of posts, it’s amazing what these women accomplish in a day. I didn’t realize how good I have it right now in terms of hours of sleep I get per day. (Note, I get a bit grumpy when I don’t have 8-9 hours of sleep. I can easily sleep more).

While I may not have a child yet, I do have a husband and a side business that help make up the craziness that is my day.

Here is what a typical day looks like:
8:30am: Hit snooze because even though I should get up, I know I can sleep 15 more minutes and get away with it.
9:15am: leave for work
10am-6pm: work. While at work interact with Twitter and send off emails to appropriate GamingAngels staff. Sometimes I use my lunch to write a post or to respond to GamingAngels emails. I usually eat lunch at my desk to squeeze these activities in.

If Tue or Thur
7-8pm Participate in Water Aerobics with my mom. Which I love. The water is getting a little two cold, but two days a week I am guaranteed to work out. Plus it’s great on my joints which I am currently having problems with.

Else
Head home and start right away with chores. I know if I get on my laptop, I’m doomed. After doing the dishes, straightening the rooms out and doing laundry, I log into my laptop. For the next few hours I do any combination of the following:

Check Facebook

Check Twitter – and thanks to Tweetdeck, I do that all night

Check GamingAngels website to see how it’s running and how the forums are going

Answer GA emails or send out requests

Help Matt with dinner if he needs it

Put on bad reality tv in the background while I work on GamingAngels (and new project which I never seem to have enough time for…it ties into GA).

On Tuesdays, there are staff meetings

On Thursdays (or any day we can) there is a GA podcast

At 9:30pm or 10 we eat dinner and watch tv
From 10-midnight I do any of the following:

Continue watching TV

Play a video game either for review or for myself

Try to get energy to write

Brainstorm ideas for how to get GA out there on zero budget

Midnight -1am try to fall asleep

Then the day starts again. My biggest struggle is that I’m really having to pull myself away from relaxing in order to get stuff done that I need to get done. This is something I’ve only been successful at for the past week or so, but I’m working on it. I had to quit Sims Social because (a) the spam and (b) would play for too long. But hopefully I will get there. I think some of the new additions/re-dos of the site are going to help to launch GamingAngels and…. into the spotlight. Just have to make the time to do it.

Weekends, everything is off the table. Sometimes I’m heading to conventions for coverage on GA, other times I’m headed to Disneyland or hanging with my parents. Sometimes I actually get to spend time with Matt. This Sunday I’m seeing my mom and a dear friend as well as spending some time on my yard.

What is your typical day like? Add it to the list here.
