This weekend at D23 Expo, I pumped twice in the First Aid room. Sitting on the bench with a curtain around me, no one could see me, but I wonder what they thought hearing the very distinctive sounds of my Medela Breast Pump. The nurse was super sweet and accommodating which made it a more comfortable experience.
Before I left for D23 expo, I email the Anaheim Convention Center to find out if there was a “mother room” or place I could pump/breastfeed (I normally say breast feeding in case people don’t know about pumping). I was told that there was and it would be open all D23. But when the time came for me to do my first check in, the Disney employee at the info booth stated there was no such room at this convention. He said that in the past they offered a Mother’s room that was never used. So they didn’t have one this year. I mentioned that the Anaheim Convention center stated they had one, but no one seemed to know where it was. The nice Disney Employee suggested the First Aid center so off I went.
First Aid office might have sounded weird to anyone else, but really I just needed to pump. At other outings I have pumped in my car. Not sure how people do that and drive because I have to push my front seat all the way back in order to make the setup work.
Because life doesn’t stop even though we have to pump throughout the day, I’m wondering where is the strangest place you’ve had to pump?
